Pause & Discern

Live Your Truth Beyond the Inner Critic

with Marcia Hyatt

VIRTUAL SELF-PACED COURSE

We all have distracting inner voices that limit our potential. We name this internal narrative the adaptive "inner critic". What is possible when you pause and discern before believing the incessant whispers (or yells) that prevent you from living your truth?

Deep Living facilitator Marcia Hyatt guides this self-paced journey of recognizing and shifting your relationship with the inner critic. You will have access to videos, guided practices, and supplemental materials to support your learning.

Meet Your Facilitator

Marcia Hyatt

I'm called to facilitate this offering because I have found learning about the Enneagram and its perspective on the inner critic to be powerful and liberating. Increasing my ability to pause and discern why I tell myself the stories I do has softened their grip on me.

We are so much more than we know. Building our capacity to be present we become more self-aware. With this awareness we see choices that lead to a more generative and intentional life.

Working with leaders (and myself) over the past several decades, I know we can change. We can move beyond our patterns to become increasingly more grounded and aware; to become leaders in our lives and in the world. I have experience working inside corporations, government, higher education and non-profits.

In 1991, I co-founded a leadership consulting firm and in 1997 co-founded a public Women’s Leadership development program still operating today. In 2008, working with WTIP, I created a weekly radio feature, Best of Ourselves. I am certified by Power & Systems (systems thinking) and the Deep Coaching Institute and International Coaching Federation (coaching) and the International Enneagram Association (enneagram professional).

I live in the northwoods of Minnesota with my husband and our two dogs.

What Participants Say About Pause and Discern

“Well done! Marcia knows this material well and embodies what she is teaching. I had the sense that it was a joy for her to share ... so that others may touch the benefits she had experienced from doing her inner work. Beautiful offering."

Pause and Discern participant

“I'm considering taking a job that would activate my inner critic. I'm grateful for a chance to think about my Inner Critic, get ideas from Marcia and others.”
